Since I now have four novels and a novella out as Kindle books, I am wondering what the best ways are to promote them. When Hearts Across Forever came out on Kindle, I joined Kindle Boards and posted on the Book Corner and the Book Bazaar and got good results from sales. Now that so many more books are out on Kindle, there are more rules making it more difficult to post there about your books.
Is there a strategy or plan to follow that will work for Kindle book authors. I would love to hear about yours.
How do you promote Kindle and other e-books?

Good question, but afraid I don't have many answers. Not intimately familiar w/book marketing right now, but I wish you well in finding a strong solution, Monti. If I hear of anything along the way, I'll send you a note. Hope you're having a lovely week. --Daisy @ www.daisyhickman.com
Hi Monti.
I don't know first hand but I have heard joining Good-reads and occasionally sharing about your books along with whatever the group you are in is a good way. I plan to add an advertisement in my book and offer to call the group while they are reading or have read my book. I heard about a year ago, an author had great success with this strategy and sold more books because of it. I also plan to include my blog spot in the add, that way fans can contact us or at least follow us.
Since I am still editing and my recent illness put a delay on things, I'm not sure when I will actually get that book out. So frustrating.

Thanks for your support, Daisy!
That's interesting about Good Reads, Nancy. I'm a member and have never really posted anything about my books. Thanks for mentioning!
Other than mentioning it's available, I really haven't promoted the Kindle version of my book. Another author friend is very active in the forums and sells lots of books daily.
Thanks, Alex, for your comment. It makes me believe even more that we are missing out if we're not promoting Kindle. However, you have done such an amazing job with your blog book tour, you have to leave a little something for the future!
I don't know the answer, but I need to work on this soon. I have my rights back for my first mystery, so I'm going to put it out there in e-world.
Yea, Pat! I'll keep a look out. Know you will do something spectacular!
I'm on KindleKorner, a Yahoo Group. They don't allow active promotion, but they encourage answering reader questions, as long as you don't mention your title. BUT you are allowed a two-line signature which can include the URL of your web site or blog, just not a direct link to, say, Amazon's buy page. AND you can go to the files portion of the Yahoo Groups site and enter information for any promotion you're running and they'll put it out to the list on Monday. It's a great place to connect.
