Dream to Reality

"Dream Reaching" MM Sikes
Have you ever focused on a thought or problem and asked for a dream about it? I've heard about people who do this but have had limited success trying it.

Dreams are strange and complicated. I own several books written about symbolism in dreams. Two of these books are dictionaries of dream symbols that I sometimes consult. There are numerous online sites such as "An Online Guide to Dream Interpretation."

Years ago, three days before her death, my grandmother told me about a dream she had the night before. In that dream, her mother knocked at the window and beckoned her to come. Because of that dream, she anticipated her death although she was home and had not been in declining health.

I'd like to learn more about dream research and am glad to see so many sites available to study. If you have a dream story, I'd love to know about it.

My great-grandmother would often say something like, "Here's a feather on the ground. I dreamed about birds last night, and here's the end of my dream." Naturally, any time something reminds me of anything I ever dreamed, I say, "Here's the end of my dream."

I've never been able to get an answers through dreams, either.

They're such a fascinating part of sleep.

When I was sixteen my grandfather was in the hospital from his 8th heart attack. My mother wanted me to pray for him. I dreamed that the Lord came to me in a ball of light and said, when everyone was ready, he would pass on. Three days later he died.

Shortly after my grandfather and my dog died, I had a dream about them in a beautiful place. Gave me closure.

Golden Eagle, thank you for your comment about not getting answers.

Nancy, thank you for sharing your lovely memory.

Alex, thank you for your dream story. That obviously meant a lot to you.

I seem to have a lot of dreams, and way too many nightmares, too. I should investigate dream interpretation, because I never seem to figure out what triggered my nighttime (usually early morning, actually) adventures.

A number of years ago, I dreamed the solution to a complicated work process that no one in the company ( including me ) had figured out a way to do easily and efficiently. Worked great.

Just recently, I dreamed about knitting and in the dream, I figured out how to get past a snag I was having in a knitting project.

I love it when that happens!!!
