"A" What Do You Remember from Your High School Days?

The Blog Challenge got me to thinking about posts to go with the letters. No one could be more surprised than I was when the first thought I got for the letter "A" was the title of a play I was in years ago when I was a sophomore in high school. The play was Now That April's Here. Although I don't recall any lines from the play, the significant point for me was that I had the role of Mrs. Harris and my husband (now) had the role of Mr. Harris.

Even then I enjoyed the excitement of drama and the thrill of opening night. Now that excitement has been replaced by the unforgettable experience of the release of a new book.

What unique or special memory do you have from your high school days?

As the "Passenger to Paradise" for the remainder of the A to Z Blog Challenge posts I plan to select travel destinations I've visited and loved or places I've dreamed of visiting. My blogs will tell you where and why.

Hi Monti .. great start .. this will be interesting to follow along .. I played Ratty .. forgot my words, made a fool of myself and am coming to terms with drama and public speaking ever since!! Sport I enjoyed though .. though their facilities today are way beyond what I could imagine! Cheers - Hilary

The only time I was ever in a play was the nativity when I was very young. I played the innkeeper with painted on facial hair and I had one line (There's no room at the inn) which was cut just before the one and only performance. Oh, what could have been...

You can start with countries you have travelled to, Australia/Austria, then B, etc. I love a good travel story, especially one with some funny experience. Happy blogging.

Great story, love that you and your now husband were Mr. & Mrs. in a play. I also met my husband in high school, he was the cute hockey player!!
Found you from the A-Z Challenge, it sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun, with maybe with a little bit of stress thrown in!! I’m now following you on GFC and I hope you have a chance to check out my blog!

Hilary, I remember dreaming about forgetting my lines. It was a nightmare!

Not fair to cut your only line, Mood!

I love to travel and have never been to Australia!

A cute hockey player sounds like a winner, Monica!

I like travel destinations. Unlike high school, which I barely remember, my travel experiences have been exciting and rewarding. Look forward to yours.

Contrary to my usual practice of subscribing to comments, to save time during challenge I will not be doing so during April. If you want to respond to my comment , please email me directly from your email notification for the comment.

From high school -- I was Penny in "You Can't Take It With You" senior year. It was the beginning and the end of my acting career. It was better that way.
