"Y" is for Yellow Heart #atozchallenge

"Yellow Heart" ©Mary Montague Sikes
"Y" is for Yellow Heart in the A to Z Blog Challenge. This heart is painted with gel medium and Golden liquid acrylics.

My Yellow Heart is not that of a coward. It is instead the beautiful yellow of sunshine. Yellow is my favorite color, so it seems an appropriate one for a heart at almost the end. It is a happy heart.

Notice the shadows of people watching this bright heart rise up. After the aching heart and the broken heart, this heart represents light and happiness at the end.

What do you think about a Yellow Heart? Can it be a heart of gold?

Vivid! I like the textures.

I knew they were people because it reminded me of that famous painting of the people being taken towards the light by the Angels of heaven.i always found that painting one of hope and this is the same...hope and happiness. When will you reveal the whole piece? Looking forward to it.

Alex, thanks. The textures make it harder to paint, however.

Birgit, thank you. I will reveal the whole painting next week. I worry that all the parts will not come together and I'll need to tie the colors together some way. We will see. I don't want to change any of the parts.
