"T" is for Trembling Heart #atozchallenge

"T" is for Trembling Heart in the A to Z Blog Challenge.

What's the difference between the Quaking Heart and the Trembling Heart, you might ask. Not much, I would have to respond. I do believe the trembling heart is less traumatic than a heart that is quaking.

"He made her heart tremble," the romance writer says.

"When she looked at him, her heart trembled," another author writes.

I don't think you would use the word quake in either instance. As a writer, what word would you use?

I don't think I've ever used a trembling heart in my writing. I have to think about that one.

Hi Monti - I'd use tremble too ... one quakes when it's more serious or could affect one more seriously ... tremble is an anxious time, or romantic beating hearts ... cheers Hilary

Beat faster? Mostly because I would get caught up in the fact that hearts don't tremble! I used to write romance...you can see why I didn't do so well with the love scenes. I would stop and think, "Can that body part actually do THAT?"

I could see a heart tremble or quiver but if it quakes, they may have a heart attack:) considering that word, I fell your heart has captured this word really well. I a, so looking forward to your finished piece.
