"N" is for New Age, a subject that has long fascinated me. In some places, New Age is defined as an unorganized spiritual movement that features metaphysical bookstores, past-life regressions, crystals, pyramids, etc. My painting for today is from the small Spirit Visions images. Many thoughts come to me as I study this piece of art.

New Age
Let the light shine on the age of Aquarius.
Inside my head, the music dances.
Ever louder, the words play out
Then diminish in New Age quiet.
Wondrous tints splash and surge
Ice blues, violets, and reds.
With an accent of ultramarine blue,
New Age hues lift toward the sky.
Aquarius and visions sparkle in the light,
New Age, bright age, little age, more age.
Things change, people change
And another world beckons from afar.
New Age, dark age, psychic age
Encircle earth like a vibrant stream,
Haunting colors, veiled and glaring,
Cloak us in silence on the journey home.

Painting has a frosty quality to it.
Never knew what new age meant until now.
Your poem is beautiful. I keep using the same words but I really mean it. It works so well with your painting which I love. It's like icebergs to me...so strong yet they are losing their strength every day
It's beautiful.
When I hear New Age, I think of music. My favorite composer is Jean Michel Jarre.
