"Victory, Spirit Visions" ©Mary Montague Sikes |
Victory
Victory speaks in a quiet voice
That sometimes we do not hear.
It sighs on the battlefront
And turns hope into bravery.
Leather stockings and silken feet
Make light the fields of anger
And the bolt of lightning strikes
That calm the judgment of the aware.
I do not know the scope of love
That reaches into the farthest river.
But I feel the chill of the water
And know the silence of its touch.
Reach high to the sound of fireworks
That swiftly form bright flags of hope.
Lifting up the tranquil voices
To turn stardust into Victory.

Victory can be achieved in the smallest of ways. Once again, love the painting and each one is similar yet different and so I love the wow factor in this art piece.
Hi Monti - Victory can come in so many ways - some veggie popping up and giving nourishment, beautiful roses with their scent ... and the purchase of an art work - satisfying too ... cheers Hilary
