Meditation is the basis of the Spirit Visions project. All the images and all the poetry that evolve are based on meditation. Art starts with a blank page that spills over with magic imagery. Meditation 

Within my vision, spirits roam.

They sanctify my thoughts

And erase regrets of my soul.

The vision of spirits is real.

Within my heart, electricity flows.

It conjures up the spirits within.

It releases the spin of my mind

And allows rockets to fly away.

Within my soul, drums sound 

And expand the energy of the spheres.

Magic lingers and fills the void.

It thunders to the universe.

Universe and beyond, the spirits play

Within a blue flowing ground.

Soul, heart, and vision move as one

To answer the call of the stars.

"L" is for Loving - #A to Z Blogging Challenge 2017

"L" is for Loving in the Spirit Visions series. What better choice than Easter Weekend for the word, loving? What better time than now when we need loving thoughts and visions all over the world? For today, I chose a larger watercolor painting, 13" x 10", instead of one from my series of small works. I believe this painting depicts the energy and joy that Loving brings into one's life.

Loving

Like vivid flakes of snow

The pastel colors flicker before my eyes.

With agility a host of forgotten memories

Arise from the past.

Excitement stirs laughter.

My heart flutters and lilts.

All around, loving light dances

And I am lost in sunshine.

The touch of a hand,

The sparkle in an eye,

Dimples on a baby's cheek.

Days long gone.

Happily, I study color

And laugh into the luminous glow.

Darkness fades, bright dreams appear

And loving thoughts glide into the night.

"B" is for Belief - #Blogging A to Z Challenge 2017

For the A to Z Challenge, I am using a selection of my Spirit Visions paintings. Today, the word "belief" comes to me. This is my little watercolor, "Belief".

What does the word belief mean to you? Is it a spiritual word?

Belief

Colors blur my vision and I wonder why.

Do I look at the world through rose-colored glasses?

Is quiet color hidden from view?

Colors blend and blur, and I believe.

What I see and what I know are different.

I see less than what I believe.

But sometimes what I see is more.

Sometimes new colors lie hidden in the realm.

My journey nears its end, and I see less than before.

Colors grow more quiet, but I believe more.

Is blue more perfect than purple?

On this journey, did I learn to believe?

A is for Abundance - #Blogging A to Z Challenge

I have an art project called "Spirit Visions". This is one of the paintings from the series. For the A to Z Challenge, I plan to display some of the paintings.
The first is called "Abundance". What does abundance mean for you? Perhaps it is an Abundance of the Spirit.

Abundance

Within the walls of my heart

Abundance glows with mysterious magic.

Trouble vanishes within the mist

And fantasy rises like glory beneath the veil.

I worry that I shall not recall the journey here.

Perhaps this gentle image will vanish in the night.

If it does, the memory will stay, the fog will lift

And I will go transformed beyond the veil.

Little secrets lie hidden all around.

I look for them, and it matters not that they are gone.

Beyond my plight a strange light arises

And I see the revolution within the veil.
